MYCLIMATE TURKIYE

MYCLIMATE TURKIYE

Venture philanthropy works to build stronger social purpose organisations by providing them with both financial and non-financial support in order to increase their societal impact. Within this respect, European Reclimate Investment House (ERIH) and the Swiss non-profit organization myclimate-The Climate Protection Partnership built myclimate Turkiye as a joint venture organization in 2011.

myclimate is one of the world's leading providers of voluntary carbon offsetting measures. myclimate's carbon offset projects are characterised by their compliance with very strict criteria. myclimate also creates carbon assessments and raises awareness for climate change and climate protection in climate education projects.

myclimate was established as the result of a joint project of students and professors of the ETH Zurich in 2002. In just a few years, myclimate developed from a student project into a professionally managed and internationally active climate-protection organisation. The innovative idea and the huge commitment of those involved continue to characterise myclimate today.

myclimate Turkiye fights against climate change with promoting low carbon society and economy in Turkey. A top-calibre Patronage Committee, including the Noble Peace Prize laureate Muhammad Yunus, International Energy Agency’s Chief Economist Dr. Fatih Birol are the two supporters of myclimate Turkiye.
